Animal Record Manager (ARM) is built and operated in New Zealand by Grady McEvoy, trading as Animal Record Manager. This policy explains how personal information is handled on ARM's public website and through the ARM service.
Information we may collect
If you contact ARM, request pricing or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect information you choose to provide such as your name, email address, organisation and enquiry details. The ARM application may also process personal information entered by authorised rescue organisations about users, foster carers, volunteers, adopters, applicants and other operational contacts.
Why information is used
Information may be used to respond to enquiries, provide and support ARM, manage customer relationships, protect the service, maintain records, improve the product and meet legal obligations. We do not collect personal information merely because it may be useful later.
Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics only if you choose to accept analytics. Analytics is optional and remains off until consent is given. See the Cookie & Analytics Policy.
Service providers and overseas processing
ARM uses technology providers needed to host and operate its websites, application, database, authentication, storage and optional analytics. Some providers may process information outside New Zealand. Provider access is limited to what is reasonably needed to supply those services.
Security and retention
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information. Personal information is kept only while reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for applicable legal, dispute, audit or record-keeping requirements, then securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Access and correction
Individuals may have rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 to request access to personal information held about them and ask for correction. Platform-level privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@animalrecordmanager.co.nz. Where information was collected by a rescue organisation using ARM, requests should normally be directed to that organisation first.
